The eighth annual Washburn Whirl will be attended by 250 arts advocates.  Washburn students in the performing arts are the stars of the show and it is a much loved event. An additional 3,000 parents of Washburn High School, alumni and past supporters will also be invited to bid on silent, on-line auction items.

Proceeds from this event help fill in the gap left by budget cuts in art programing. For instance, we provide uniforms, sheet music for the choirs, instruments for the band and orchestra, paint and other visual art supplies, rights to plays and musicals for the theater department, and scholarships so all students can participate. Funds raised from past events have also helped provide our students with a new thrust stage, printing press, pug mill, mural projects, sound equipment, guest theatre instructors, and much, much more. We hope you will join us in fostering the arts in these talented students.
