The Westside Education Foundation (WAVE) was originally established in 1992 to provide financial assistance in support of student programs and extended learning opportunities that are always in jeopardy based on the State's education budget. Specifically, WAVE has provided countless grants in support of programs in the Arts, Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Athletics to offer Westside students the best opportunity at a complete and well-rounded educational experience.

For over a two-year period public school education was radically changed to deliver remote instruction and learning. As a result, the parents and staff of the Westside Union School District have committed to the relaunch of the critically important Westside Antelope Valley Education Foundation. The rebranding and refreshed logo signify a renewed commitment to evolving with the changing landscape of education to provide Westside students access to the best tools, programs and courses available.

On April 25, 2024, WAVE will celebrate 77 years of excellence and tradition in the Westside Union School District while reintroducing WAVE to the Antelope Valley community along with acknowledging individuals and organizations as Westside Heroes who have generously contributed their time, knowledge, and funds to Westside students and the Antelope Valley. The event is a wonderful opportunity to express gratitude and showcase the collaborative effort that makes the Westside Union School District a place of excellence.

The goal of the event is to raise $77,000 to establish the WAVE Education Endowment which will provide funding for vital, creative and exceptional educational programs in perpetuity.

All Sponsors will be recognized as Grand Charter Donors with the establishment of the WAVE Education Endowment. Grand Charter Donors will be prominently displayed at the event, on the WAVE web page, and at all future WAVE events as a Grand Charter Donor.
