Description

WC Eagles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide elite field hockey training and to provide
each of our players with critical life skills to use in college, the workforce, and in life. The success and talent level of
WC Eagles field hockey players—both on and off the pitch since 2005—are a testament to the impact WC Eagles has
had on the growth of field hockey in the United States:
-Our teams consistently perform on the national/international level, typically winning gold medals
-Our players and alumnae are well-represented on each of the USA Field Hockey national teams
-Among over 550 WC Eagles players committed to play collegiately, 81% selected a D1 program (with 12% of those being Ivy League) and 19% found their best fit at a D2/D3 program

Our training center in Spring City brings hundreds of travelers to the area every week; many who visit local eateries,
shopping, and lodging during their stays. About 450 players train regularly at WC Eagles and ~360 additional players
train at other times (e.g., summer camp). Weekend tournaments bring hundreds more to the area.

To continue our mission, we are embarking on a project to replace our state-of-the-art (but nearing the end of its
lifespan) artificial hockey turf which is approved by FIH (International Hockey Federation) and used by top national
league clubs in the UK, Europe, and New Zealand. Our playing surface is critical to the appropriate development of
field hockey players and is the first (and only) of its kind available to youth players in the United States.

Because replacing this turf comes with a significant cost, we plan to fundraise in phases. We invite you to join us in
Phase 1 as a sponsor or in-kind donor for our online auction. With your generous support, we will reach our
Phase 1 fundraising goal of $400,000—towards which we have secured over $185,000 to date. Your support will
enable us to maintain our tradition of excellence and continue our mission—not only developing the highest
levels of field hockey talent but also resilient, hard-working, and successful girls and young women.

We are excited to welcome you—as someone who shares a passion for athletics and someone invested in advancing girls and women in sports—to be part of an exciting opportunity for our community. We also invite you to visit our fundraising campaign website at wceaglesturf.org for more information. We thank you for your kind consideration of this request and welcome any questions you may have at any time
