Description

Since its inception, The WE CARE Fund, part of the Nassau Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Nassau County Bar Association, has raised funds , which have been used to assist Nassau County residents in need through grants to local charities. Each year, we host the We Care Golf and Tennis Classic as our primary fundraiser. It is attended by nearly five hundred guests and includes a special raffle, silent auction and dinner. The event is also covered by Long Island Business News and other news media. 100% of all proceeds raised are used to help those in need. This is possible due to the Nassau County Bar Association generously absorbing all administrative costs of We Care.

We are asking members of our local community to partner with us and support the WE CARE Fund by DONATING A RAFFLE/AUCTION ITEM FOR THE EVENT. Participation is easy and is dually beneficial; it will support Nassau County neediest residents and enhance your business' marketing to Nassau County's legal and business community who attend and support our event. All donors may include a promotional item for our give-away bags to our 250 plus golf & tennis players.

Our 24th NCBA WE CARE Fund Golf & Tennis Classic is on July 29, 2018 .

Projects supported include:
• Food pantries, shelters and safe houses for victims of domestic violence

  • Scouting, summer camp and after school activities for disadvantaged youth
  • Scholarships for deserving high school seniors engaged in community service
  • Educational programs for separating and divorcing spouses and their children
  • Holiday celebrations for underprivileged children and the elderly
