It is my pleasure to introduce The Andrew Weishar (pronounced Wisher) Foundation (aka
Weish4Ever), a grassroots, volunteer-led organization in Chicago that provides direct and
immediate financial assistance to families with adolescents or young adults battling cancer by
relieving the burdens brought on by the disease, bringing joy during difficult times, and
ensuring these families know they are not alone in their fight. Just shy of his 22 nd birthday, it
was Andrew’s dying wish that his family pay forward all the kindness and generosity shown to
his family during his three-year battle with an aggressive form of colorectal cancer. Younger
brother, Dan, took this promise literally, and with the help of family and friends, created the
foundation. In eleven years, Weish4Ever has welcomed over 540 families to the Weish4ever
family and granted over $3 million dollars.
Our annual, signature fundraiser, WeishFest, will be held at The Salt Shed, November 9, 2024.
WeishFest is a music festival unlike any other. We are pleased to announce O.A.R. will be
coming back to rock our 3,000 supporters with more national talent to be announced. In
conjunction with WeishFest, our online Silent Auction generates most of the funds needed to
uplift our families during life’s most challenging times. We hope we can count on you to partner
with us and make this year’s Silent Auction a huge success.
