Description

After a three year pause, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Human Resources at Brock University is
excited to be planning their annual Employee Wellness Day to take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of Wellness Day.
Wellness Day is where approximately 600 employees engage in wellness related workshops geared
toward achieving wellness in one or more of the following eight area: Physical, Emotional, Social,
Spiritual, Intellectual, Environmental, Occupational and Financial. Approximately 60-80 different
workshops and opportunities are offered.
An important aspect of Wellness Day is building a sense of community among employees and with
this in mind, each year a penny sale is arranged. All proceeds from this sale are donated to a nonendowed scholarship award, given to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to wellness
within their community. The last amount raised was just over $4,000 and was awarded to four Brock
students.
We would like to request your support for this wellness initiative through the donation of a gift, gift
basket or gift certificate. Your generosity would add both excitement to the day and build a sense of
community as Brock employees participate in the penny sale for the benefit of our students.
Arrangements of a donation can be directed to the attention of Martina Ciglenecki in Human
Resources at mciglenecki@brocku.ca or 289.968.2438.
Thank you in advance for considering this request. Please feel free to contact me should you have
any questions.
