The West Coast 5K SCADaddle for Research is a timed run/walk in San Diego, California supporting research for SCAD. SCAD stands for spontaneous coronary artery dissection which causes heart attacks in mainly young women (the average age is 42). It is the number one reason for heart attacks for women under the age of 50 and we do not know why. We have started a non proigft 501(c) 13 years ago and we have doneated over $1.45 million for research and we have learned quite a bit, but, we still have more to learn. The funds we raise at our events go toward the research as well as bringing awareness.
