Description

Every year, public libraries across the state host summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults. The details of each library's program can vary, but essentially, patrons get prizes for reading! It is fun for all ages and a great way to keep kids reading throughout the summer. Western MA Library Advocates support these programs by facilitating an incentive distribution program. For the last 11 years we have collected donations from area museums, like The Carle or Children's Museum at Holyoke, or to area activies like the Big E or the maker space at Yankee Candle.

We would ask for a donation of 200-300 passes, and then we would distribute them to libraries across the state, with a concentration in Western and Central MA. Last year we were able to aid 225 summer reading programs. Donors not only receive the benefit of encourage kids to read, but they also make sales off of these donations. While a child may win one pass to Six Flags, of course their family will have to pay their entry fee. It is a win for both the libraries and for Six Flags. We hope that you are willing to donate entry passes to your park for our 2024 summer reading program. We would need the passes by May 1 in order to distribute them to libraries by June 1.

Thank you for your consideration. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
