Wild About Wine is a great event that gets our community together to support the Texas Zoo, which is the official National Zoo of Texas & the only zoo within 2-hours of Victoira - allowing smaller communities an educational & family-friendly amenity right in thier backyard. All proceeds from the event go directly to support not only our daily operating expenses but as well as supply funding for various capital projects throughout the next year & allow us to host our kids summer camps, which positively impacts education within our community.

Like many non-profits around the world, COVID-19 has hit our organization hard. Due to decreased admission, the unavailablity to host fundraising events since the beginning of 2020, and cutting our animal encounters due to the animal's high susceptibility to contracting COVID-19, our zoo has had to make some hard decisions and cut our already lean budget down even further. Every year we rely on this fundraiser to help sustain our organziation and keep our doors open thorughout the year, but due to COVID-19 the success of this event is necessary more than ever.
