Dear Friends,

Back in 1989 Down Home Ranch officially became recognized by the State of Texas. What was once a dream of opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities has since turned into a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fosters community, fuels social enterprise and inspires joy for thousands of people with and without disabilities. Over 32 years later we are serving more individuals than ever before, which calls for a celebration as big as Texas!

The 18th annual Down Home Ranch Gala kicks off on Saturday, September 18th at 5pm at the historic Coupland Dance Hall & Inn. Top Texas and national country artists including Robert Earl Keen and The Bellamy Brothers perform at this venue all the time. Coupland Dance Hall owner, Abbey Road, will be serving up her own recipe of delicious Texas pit BBQ which is sure to attract a crowd! Live music, raffle prizes and silent and live auctions are a few of the other excitements the guests will experience on this special evening.

We humbly invite you to partner with us by donating an item for the silent or live auction. In past years, event attendees have ranged in age from small children to senior adults, with the majority of attendees between 30-50 years of age and hailing from around Texas. Typical attendance is 350+ guests and we have historically raised between $90,000-$100,000 for the DHR mission. As an auction donor, you will be featured in the event program and presentation, as well as thanked on DHR’s social media pages.

Your donation will positively impact the lives of over 180 adults with disabilities this year, as well as countless family members and staff. DHR wouldn’t be the same without the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for us through the years. We hope you will consider joining us as we continue to empower the lives of people with disabilities for many years to come!
