We are seeking your support of an auction item for Win or Brews 10th anniversary auction benefit The Lupus Research Alliance (LRA), which supports and funds research to treat, prevent and cure Lupus. This event will be held on November 10, 2023 at Peticolas Brewery in the Dallas Design District. The item(s) you donate will be auctioned off by Shelley’s Heroes and directly benefit LRA funding grants that are actively working to treat, prevent and cure lupus.

What is Shelley’s Heroes? 

In 2005, Shelley Shuttlesworth started Shelley’s Heroes in association with LRA to fundraise in support of lupus research. Shelley was diagnosed with lupus in college and created this fundraising team to allow family and friends to support her as she dealt with her diagnosis. Her supporters and donors are all heroes who help fund lupus research throughout the nation. Shelley’s Heroes is one of the biggest contributors to LRA in the Dallas area and have raised $181k dollars as of May 2023 of the over $220 million LRA has committed to date. We aim to find better treatments and ultimately prevent and cure systemic lupus by supporting bio-medical research. We would like to ask you to donate a gift certificate, basket or item to the auction. Your donation could represent hundreds of dollars in auction funds raised. Please be sure to include any marketing collateral, brochures and relevant details about the item you donate, so we can include an accurate description for potential bidders. Please also send a copy of your logo so you can be a sponsor listed on the Shelley’s Heroes walk t-shirt.

Win or Brews is organized by Shelley’s Heroes benefiting LRA; the fundraiser consists of a sampling of Peticolas Breweries local beers, silent auction, live music and snacks. The proceeds from this event are used to continue to provide research for those afflicted with Lupus. LRA is a 501(c)(3) entity; your prize donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
