As you probably know, People Helping People is the umbrella organization for the Burlington Food Pantry, the Holiday Wish Tree and the Covenant for Basic Needs. These three non-profit and volunteer-supported organizations are striving to meet the basic necessities of Burlington residents who have been hit hardest by the economic downturn.

An average of 350 families received food from the Burlington Community Food Pantry on a monthly basis.  Over 170,000 pounds of food are distributed annually.  Every November over 186 families receive Thanksgiving Dinners and in December 100 families received gifts from the Wish Tree Holiday Program (which equates to over 200 children or close to 1,000 gifts

Fundraising is critical to our ability to continue providing support for the hundreds of needy people in our community. With the generous help of the Café Escadrille, we are planning the 7th Annual Wine Tasting and Charity Auction at the Café Escadrille on February 25th.   Your donation of goods or services for our auction can provide a significant contribution to our fundraising, and your company’s generosity will be acknowledged in our printed program, to be distributed to over 175 guests that afternoon.
