Description

We are writing on behalf of the Cannon Falls Elementary PTO to request a donation for our
annual carnival & silent auction scheduled for February 9, 2024. This event is fun for the entire
family with carnival games, prizes, concessions and a silent auction. At this event, typically
attended by about 400-600 community members, we auction off gift cards, merchandise, and
services generously donated by businesses like yours. The event proceeds will help pay for items
to our elementary school that fall outside of the normal educator’s budget.
The PTO is an organization that believes the students, staff, teachers, parents, and entire
community are a vital influence on the success of our children’s future. The PTO strives to foster
a sense of support, pride, and enthusiasm for the Cannon Falls Elementary School Community
by increasing communication, fundraising for our teachers and staff, and creating social events
for our families.
We are asking for businesses to donate goods for our Silent Auction piece of this fundraiser. Any
donation will help the PTO to support the Cannon Falls Elementary School and are tax
deductible. Should you make a donation for the silent auction, your business will be recognized
on auction displays at the event. We will also provide a donation receipt letter with the PTO’s tax
exempt ID number for your records upon request.

The PTO has had much success with this event in the past due in large part to all the businesses,
like yours, that have continually supported us. We are truly grateful and appreciate your
continued support. 100% of our funds stay within our school and enable the PTO to provide
teachers with additional supplies needed for their classrooms, to aid in the funding of fields trips,
and other school events for our children.
