William Newton Hospital (WNH) is a small, rural, non-profit hospital in Winfield, Kansas.  The Hospital relies on the generosity of philanthropic gifts to maintain access to healthcare in rural areas; the William Newton Healthcare Foundation (WNHF) is the facilitator for such gifts. Since 2007, our mission has been to support the continued advancement of technology, education and quality healthcare for WNH and its five rural clinics. 

 Every fall, WNHF hosts an annual gala. In attendance are industry CEO’s, bank presidents, and physicians just to name a few. Last year, we set our second record, raising over $56,000 for the Second Century Campaign, and we expect another stellar year with great attendance and participation.  This year’s event will be an elegant evening where we will celebrate both our donors and the 95 years of service and excellent care WNH has provided to our community.The event will be hosted on October 15, 2022 at the Burford Theatre. Every year, we work very hard to acquire items for our live and silent auction that maintain the degree of exclusivity and excitement our guests have come to know.  

 The fundraising goal of the event is $60,000.00, and all of the proceeds will go toward the Second Century Campaign at WNH: this event will help sustain a 10 year Master Facility Plan that began with Phase 1, improving and expanding the Surgical Center.  Your generous support of these events would help support this building project, Phase II the ER department update and remodel, as well as ensuring that this hospital will remain here in our communities, to continue to provide great care for you and your family—close to home—when you need it the most.

 Last year we raised over $56,000 and we believe this package would be a vital part in meeting that goal. We hope that you will consider our request and find it to be an investment in the healthcare of our community.
