Founded in 2012, the ASTRO Foundation, founded is a 501c3 non-profit (Tax ID 46-0873232) dedicated to rescuing homeless cats and dogs in our local community of Oakdale, Riverbank, and Escalon. California.

This year marks an exciting milestone – we’ve purchased a new building to expand our adoption services. From this facility, we can provide shelter for both cats and dogs, facilitate adoptions, operate a pet food pantry for low-income families, and continue vital programs like trap-neuter-release for feral cats.    

Animal rescue is a costly mission.  The expenses for food, housing, spay/neuter, veterinary care, medications, vaccinations, cleaning supplies, and insurance, to name a few, quickly add up.  That’s why we depend on the generosity of our community and businesses like yours to continue our life-saving work.  We currently rescue approximiately 1,000 dogs and cats annually. 

We kindly ask for your support through a raffle or auction donation for our upcoming fundraiser, WOOFSTOCK, to be held at the Oakdale Golf & Country Club on May 31, 2025.   We anticipate approximately 150 guests at our event.  Your generosity will be recognized and appreciated.
