Description

Join us in opening doors to employment for young adults with disabilities in the Chicagoland area!

Working Together Chicago believes in the importance of creating a societal expectation that people with disabilities can have success in the labor market when they have the right supports and are given a chance.

Despite the fact that the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed more than 25 years ago, people with disabilities still struggle to access employment. More than 70% of people with disabilities are un/underemployed, and many live in poverty because of over-reliance on governmental support.

Working Together Chicago provides on-the-job experience and training for young adults with disabilities in local businesses and schools throughout the Chicagoland area. Working Together Chicago has placed over 80 people with disabilities in paid job opportunities in just 4 years. We are pleased to report that the majority of those individuals have been hired as permanent employees – proof that people with disabilities can be excellent employees!

For the first time, our 2nd Annual Fundraiser will be VIRTUAL on Wednesday, November 4th from 6 - 7pm on Facebook Live and YouTube! Register for FREE online at www.bidpal.net/wtc
