Our parent organization, PACE (Parents Association Colfax Elementary), is proud to provide classroom aides to our teachers, helping to reduce the ‘teacher : student’ ratio in the classroom. PACE also provides trained teaching staff, their facilities and supplies, in the areas of Science, Art, Music and Computer Technology, to name a few. At Colfax, we also have a school farm and garden, which our volunteers and teachers use to enhance our children’s appreciation of the world around us.

In order to pay for this wonderfully enriched education, we hold a number of fundraising events during each school- year. By far our biggest Community Fundraiser is the renowned “Colfax World Fair”. Once a year, we open up the gates to over 8,000 guests from the surrounding neighborhoods of Los Angeles to enjoy live shows, student performances, game booths, water park fun and so much more. One of the biggest attractions is our Silent Auction!

Our move to an online system where bidding can be done via a customer’s mobile phone from absolutely anywhere, has extended our customer-reach beyond our tent to the whole community, increasing our success by 40%!
