Youth Villages will host the annual Youth Villages Golf Classic benefiting LifeSet, a bridge from foster care to adulthood. The Golf Classic will engage 30 corporate and community-sponsored teams in an event to benefit the LifeSet program, which provides transitional services to youth exiting the foster care system and entering independent adulthood.

Each year in Tennessee, more than 1,000 youth will “age out” of foster care making them the most statistically vulnerable group of young people in the country, faced with higher risks of falling into cycles of substance abuse, recidivism, poverty, and homelessness. The annual Golf Classic raises funds to help LifeSet to prevent these outcomes by providing young adults, ages 17-22, the intensive support and guidance needed to make a successful transition into independent adulthood.

The Golf Classic is the largest fundraising event for the LifeSet program in Middle Tennessee with the goal of raising $75,000 to provide services to former foster youth who are in critical need.

We invite area companies, businesses, and establishments to support the event by generously donating an item to the event’s online auction. Your support will be recognized in the following ways: logo featured on the online auction, brand listed in the regional print and digital newsletter, brand mentioned on social media (Facebook and Twitter). The online auction will be emailed out to 5,400+ members of our Middle Tennessee community. Additionally, the online auction will be promoted during the event to an in-person audience of 150 golfers and volunteers from Greater Nashville.
