The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito has exciting plans for the 2nd annual Youth of the Year Gala. This year’s gala is themed an African Safari Night and is scheduled during the 2014 Del Mar Races on Friday, August 8th at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Infield Pavilion. The evening will include horse racing, silent and live auctions, a gourmet dinner, entertainment, and dancing with the Wayne Foster Band. All net proceeds will help provide funding for POSITIVE activities that allow children to learn, grow, and develop healthy lifestyles within a safe and nurturing environment.

We will honor an outstanding Youth of the Year, chosen from individuals that attend one of our seven locations of the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito. In addition, we will honor a community volunteer of the year. Last year’s Overall Youth of the Year was Daisy Aguilar from the La Colonia branch and Volunteer of the Year was Jill Coughlin of Del Mar.
