The 26th Annual Stony Brook Athletics Seawolves United Golf Classic will be held on Monday, July 26 at St. George’s Golf Club in Setauket, NY. This golf outing is designed to help raise scholarship dollars for Stony Brook University’s student-athletes and to cherish the memory of a very special person.
In December of 2000, seven-year-old Charles Gordon Heuser – a dear friend and fan of Stony Brook athletics – tragically lost his life in a skiing accident. To help celebrate his life, his parents, Denise Logan-Heuser ‘78 (Stony Brook Hall of Fame Swimmer & Diver) and David Heuser started the “Charles Gordon Heuser Scholarship Endowment” in support of the Stony Brook Athletic Department.
Proceeds from the “Charles Gordon Heuser Scholarship Endowment,” help support Stony Brook student-athletes in achieving their higher education dreams, while also helping them compete at the highest level. Charles loved to cheer on all of the Stony Brook student-athletes and his endowment helps to see that the cheering always continues.
