Mission Statement: "To enhance the morale and well-being of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (United States Marine Corps) and to express Cerritos' appreciation for their service to our country”
The 1st Combat Engineer Battalion Adoption Committee is a non-profit 501(c)3 service organization (#51-0636751) that provides support for the 1st CEB Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. The City of Cerritos formally adopted this unit of the U.S. Marine Corps on November 11, 2007. We send care packages to Marines overseas and provide “Welcome Home” bags to troops returning to the U.S. Our organization also donates money for various events they have on the base, such as their Beach Bash and Christmas Party, as well as financial support for the Annual Marine Birthday Ball.
