Shalom House is a local nonprofit organization that helps women and their children in times of crisis. For over three decades, Shalom House has been providing women and children in the greater Harrisburg area with not only food and shelter, but also with clothing, case management and life skills programs.
In the past 10 years alone, Shalom House has served over 1200 women and 600 children through all of our housing programs. With a go-to list over 50 support service partners, our clients are connected with appropriate agencies, programs and services depending on their personal circumstances and needs. Shalom House focuses on a life success coaching and one to one case management approach, and seeks to attend to the root issues of homelessness and recidivism.
