Every year the Buddy Walk helps us to raise positive awareness about Down syndrome, and funds to help us fulfill our mission of advocating for the value, acceptance, and inclusion of people with Down syndrome in the local community. One of our main areas of focus is in education where we work hard to ensure families understand proposed legislation, how it will impact them and the best way to use their voice to make change. For school age children we help families navigate the Individualized Education Programs to ensure children are able to access their education and make meaningful progress on their goals
