ALTSO is a registered non-profit in the US and UK providing free prosthetic limbs, orthotic braces, and appropriately fitted wheelchairs to children with traumatic or congenital limb disabilities in the developing world.
Mobility is more than movement; it is a human right. Mobility improves self-esteem, provides access to education, future employment, and the chance to live self-sufficiently. One simple treatment, provided by ALTSO, can transform a life and break the cycle of poverty a child was born into. Since 2003, ALTSO has provided life-changing treatment to nearly 20,000 children.
