Mission: A Village for One empowers the members of our community-our village-to unite in an effort to heal  the impact of commercial sexual exploitation by providing a safe and healthy environment of healing for our impacted youth and through additional training, outreach, and advocacy.

Vision: The community uniting to heal our youth and end sexual exploitation.

Philosophy: Each youth comes from their own unique expereince and needs.  We believe in fully accepting each youth for where they are in their process and developing self.  Through this perspective we provide a holistic healthcare approach that is designed to meet each of their phsyical, mental, and spiritual needs througout their healing.

A Village for One provides services for youth throughtout the state of Oregon.  Services are provided through our community based mental health services as well as through our Therapeutic Housing Program (THP).  In addition, all offices host clothing and hygiene closets, which can be accessed free of charge by any youth in the community.

Community Based Services: In Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties there are outpatient mental health clinics that provided community based mental health services free of charge for youth, 25 and under, who have faced sexual exploitation or are assessed as being at heightened risk for this type of abuse.  In addition to serving their counties, these clinicians also provide indivudal and group counseling to youth at Oak Creek Correctional Institute who come from all parts of Oregon.  These youth are incarcerated for various reasons, and have also been victims of sexual exploitation prior to incarceration.

Therapeutic Housing Program (THP):  A Village for One opened our first therapeutic home in September of 2020.  This home houses 6 female or female identifying youth ages 12-17, who have faced commercial sexual exploitation.  Anisa's Place is an amazing example of public and private partnership with a united goal to serve some of the most vulnerable youth of our community.  There is a current goal to open a second home in 2024.
