ACTS Missions is a lay-led Catholic apostolate whose mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ among Catholic communities through ACTS Retreats. The intent and purpose of the Retreat is three-fold: offer the opportunity for a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, foster intentional discipleship, and build parish community. The headquarters for ACTS Missions is in San Antonio, TX. We also have ACTSM Chapters in 22 locations across the US and 1 in Mexico who support parishes and Cores in their region. Chapters are regional volunteers who focus on education and evangelization.
An ACTS Retreat is a parish-based event which offers parishioners an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ. This in turn fosters a desire for intentional discipleship. ACTS Retreats are given by parishioners for parishioners, and in this way, serve to build Christian community at the parish communities we serve.
Parishes have been revitalized, diaconate classes have been filled, and all seek to deepen their relationship with Christ through prayer and service. Through ACTS, the laity respond to their baptismal call, and seek to participate in the apostolic mission of the Church to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and this has been found to be good.
Those who attend an ACTS retreat share in an experience that has impacted more than one million lives worldwide since the first retreat in 1987. There are numerous testimonies describing retreatants who were evangelized through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. They witness to become better fathers, mothers, husbands, wives and children.
The ACTS Retreat was a vision created, and 38 years later we are keeping the retreat alive by impacting lives by bringing women, men, and teens closer to Christ. It is with this in mind that ACTS Missions continues to share its vital mission.
