Our mission is, Building up women and children, to empower themselves, to achieve their beautiful, unique, and unlimited purpose. We plan to create foundations for these families and help them to empower themselves by providing the tools that most of us take for granted. Our program is designed to help families become self-sustaining by being supportive and helping them see the potential they already have within.
Our name, Adaptt stands for Angels Devoted to Achieving Purpose Through Teamwork. Our name is rooted in the belief that every human has dignity and purpose. Individuals adapt to survive, and as an organization, we must strive to adapt to the changing needs of people on their journeys. Our goal is not to push people into what we think is right for them, but to become their partners in helping them build their confidence and achieve the purpose they see for themselves.
From donations and some smaller grant funds, we have been able to start with two smaller initiatives, Adaptt 100 Kids, and Adaptt Complete Family Care. We have already assisted several families in our community acquire household essentials and maintenance products, personal hygiene products, new bed frames, mattresses, pillows, and bedding for children, clothing, and much needed food. Meeting physical need is only half of our passion. Adaptt believes that education and empowerment play a key role in someone’s ability to overcome obstacles.
In the upcoming year, Adaptt plans on hosting several educational workshops for youth, and adults. These workshops will cover topics such as budgeting and financial literacy, nutrition on a budget, leadership skills, building relationships, and self-care.
