Adat Chaverim–a transliteration of the Hebrew phrase “community of friends”–is the first Reform congregation in Collin County, Texas, serving Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and the other suburbs north and east of Dallas.

Founded in early 1997, Adat Chaverim is a rapidly growing congregation, with a varied membership ranging from singles to young families to senior members of our community. We welcome interfaith couples and families. Our size provides an intimacy in worship and social activities that is unavailable in larger congregations, as well as immediate opportunities to become involved with the congregation and its leadership at all levels.

We at Adat Chaverim, a Reform Jewish Congregation and a “community of friends”, are dedicated to:

  • Living by the enduring principles of Torah and Reform Judaism,
  • Developing relationships with God through education, study and communal worship,
  • Supporting individuals and families in their diversity to ensure the continuity of the Jewish People,
  • Caring for each other, our North Texas community and the State of Israel, and
  • Furthering tikkun olam, the healing of the world.

We support our surrounding communities by collecting food via food drives for food pantries, knitting caps for cancer patients, raising scholarship money to send children to Jewish summer camp, and perform outreach to senior living centers.
