Dear Friend of the Addiction Referral Center,
The past 16 months has been a challenging time for so many businesses and individuals. Here at the Addiction Referral Center (ARC); we see the need for our services increasing due to the pandemic, with the instability and isolation of the previous year significantly affecting those with substance use disorder.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Health, opioid deaths increased in 2020 by 5% and a study by JAMA Network Open reports that frequency of alcohol consumption increased by 14% in the US in 2020. Our community has been hit hard and here at the ARC, we are eager to help as many residents in the Metrowest community as possible and we can’t do it without your help.
The ARC has been a vital part of the Metrowest community for 49 years. Our goal is to help disrupt the cycle of addiction and provide services, support, and hope to individuals and families in our community. As a 501(3)(c) charity; the ARC operates purely on grants and donations. Our major fundraising initiatives in 2020 were either cancelled or downsized and our goal is to make up some of the ground we lost last year so that we can continue to offer services at the same level that we have been known to provide.
We are proud to be holding our 12th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Friday, August 20, 2021. This event includes over 150 attendees, and your sponsorship or raffle gift donation is a great way to promote your business and to help the ARC. Sponsorships are recognized in several ways including a Tee Sign displayed on the course. All raffle donors are recognized on table signs at our awards banquet.
