Affirming Texas Families Services (ATFS) provides FREE counseling in the rural Texas counties of Montague, Clay, Jack, and Young. The licensed counselors provide counseling to individuals who have experienced victimization, as defined by the Department of Justice, and their non-offending family members. The mission of ATFS is for "licensed mental health professionals (to) guide victimized children and adults through the healing process to bring clients healthier, safer lives.
ATFS has been in operation for 5 years and in that time, has provided free counseling for 700+ individuals and their families. ATFS also provides parent education classes, Darkness to Light sexual abuse bystander intervention program, and foster support.
