The Parent Teacher Organization is a diverse group of parents, guardians, teachers and administrators dedicated to the well-being of students at our school. We support the school, the students, the teachers and school administration with our time, energy and financial assistance. Our goal is to support the creation of an environment where all of our children can reach their individual potential and have educational, enjoyable and memorable experiences at Afton Elementary School.
The Afton PTO starts the year with the New Parent Welcome Breakfast at the first PTO meeting in September and never slows down! We organize fun school activities such as the Back to School Block Party, Small and Tall Ball, Family Events like Skate Night, in addition to obtaining volunteers for the library. We organize two book fairs each year. We assist the Phys Ed teacher with Field Day. The PTO keeps Afton parents updated throughout the school year via the Afton website.
