The Agricultural History Project (AHP) honors and promotes knowledge about agriculture on the Central California Coast, both past and present.

AHP is building upon its extensive collection of historical artifacts and displays in order to engage the public in more interactive ways to understand the importance of the past, present, and future of agriculture in our region. We are constantly working on adding new exhibits to allow for more opportunities to offer hands-on learning experiences for all ages.

AHP is one of the only organizations that promotes the unique history of our area and preserves it so that future generations can see the importance of the multi-cultural contributions to agriculture in our region. 50% of the population we serve are Latino. Local schools rely on our programs and report that the field trips to the farm as the most well-liked activity by teachers. AHP provides local families with a safe place to go and enjoy hands-on and fun experiences to learn about this rich past. In order to serve our visitors, we have a wide range of volunteer positions that are filled primarily by seniors who have experienced life on a farm.
