We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free transportation to those affiliated with the DOD who have been consuming alcohol and the plan(s) that they had fell through, and they can't get home without choosing to drive themselves. We are not a taxi service and only provide rides from where the individual is to their residence. This not only prevents DUIs but keeps the members and community safe.

We are working towards gathering donations, partnerships, and sponsorships with other organizations and companies to help improve the program. Since our organization is 100% volunteer based, I would like to provide the volunteer drivers that supply rides to those in need a small value gift card. This would be advertised as an offset to the cost of fuel and for their dedication to a community-based safety program. In addition, we track individual volunteer hours as well as base and program-wide hours within the RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell areas (and within 20-30 miles of each). Tracking this information provides us the ability to offer additional incentives that we are paying out of pocket for, such as oil changes for a predetermined number of volunteer hours, detailing services for accidents that happen within their vehicle due to alcohol-related sickness, and recognition of those that perform a specific number of hours.

One of the additional reasons for this initiative is the lack of transportation services within our area. Many individuals have had to wait up to 3 hours to get a taxi, and taxi drivers can vary their price based on the time of day and whether someone has been drinking. Additionally, services such as Uber and Lyft do not exist here.

We would also like to use some of the funds and items we receive to generate our own fundraising events, alcohol-related education events, and community activities and events to inform everyone of our organization, what we do, and why we do it. In addition, we are developing plans to promote a culture of intelligent alcohol consumption, recognizing alcohol-related issues, and seeking help without judgment.

Our current goal is raising $10,000 towards our incentive program, advertising/marketing initiative, and initial procurement of necessary materials for fundraiser and event setups (such as displays, tables, chairs, and electronics for providing audio/video information). Anything you would be willing to provide to assist us with helping provide for the volunteers, reducing DUIs, increasing community safety, and educating on harmful alcohol use would be greatly appreciated.
