Our mission at Aisling is to provide a safe environment to experience the therapeutic value of horses that promotes personal growth, hope, healing, and real life changes. We provide Equine-Assisted Therapies for both physical and mental benefits to a wide range of individuals with a focus on our active-duty military, veterans, first responders, surviving spouses, and their families.

Our programs include Therapeutic Riding for children and adults with special abilities for the numerous physical and mental benefits horseback riding provides. In May of 2023, we formed a partnership with the Rockwall County Sheriff's Office to implement a program for inmates housed at the county jail to do our part to help fight recidivism and hope to expand it to other counties in the near future. We hold weekly sessions for children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, and other challenges they encounter simply growing. This allows the horses to give them the tools to navigate life and the struggles they encounter effectively.

It is no secret that mental health challenges in our military, veteran, and first responder populations is a very real thing. At Aisling, we are committed to enriching the lives of these individuals through the healing power of horses. Our 'Freedom Strides' program includes individual, couple, and group sessions specifically facilitated and conducted to target the challenges our heroes face on a daily basis. We are firm believers that alone we cannot help everyone, but together we can. Therefore, it is not only important to us to do our part, but to form partnerships with other organizations that provide resources and support for our veterans and first responders. Some of these include the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas, Patriot Anglers, the PTSD Foundation of America, and REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship Program in Fallbrook, CA. In 2023, we made two trips to California, partnering with REINS, to provide day-long workshops for active duty United States Marines. We will be returning in 2024 to do the same.
