Akron Fire Company is an all volunteer fire company located in the heart of Lancaster County Pennsylvania. We serve as first due fire department for Akron Borough as well as portions of Ephrata & West Earl Townships. Our main source of support comes from our annual fund drive campaign. We strive to provide the best service possible to the residents of our community. Our members have trained in all aspects of firefighting and many hold additional training and certification in Vehicle Rescue, Hazardous Material Operations, CPR, Emergency First Aid and other specialized rescue services. We respond to an average of 100 emergency calls per year, and currently have approximately 45 active members.
