The Alexander County School Career & Technical Education program (CTE) is comprised of 5 Program Areas- Agriculture, Business and Computer Science, Health Science, Family & Consumer Science, Trades & Industry. CTE strives to provide engaging, hands-on,and innovative learning experiences and prepare students for meaningful career goals. The vision of the Alexander County Schools Career & Technical Education (CTE) is “Careers for All '' with the mission to inspire students for a future with purpose and passion. There are over 50 course offerings at ACHS to serve 1200 high schoolstudents, as well as programs at both East and West Middle Schools for 6th-8th grade students, approximately 1050 middle school students. In addition to the courses provided, CTE promotes career development activities outside of the classroom.
