Almost Home Foundation dog and cat rescue was founded in 2005. We are a non-profit, all- volunteer, foster-based rescue funded solely by private donations. We have no paid employees. We rely on AHF volunteers to dedicate their time, homes, and hearts for our rescued animals until they find their loving forever homes.
We are committed to reducing the number of homeless and unwanted companion animals through education programs, spay/neuter programs, and the responsible re-homing of dogs and cats. We assist animal control facilities by welcoming cats and dogs that have not had much adoption interest due to health, breed, color, energetic behavior, age, or failure to thrive in their shelter environment. We rescue from overcrowded kill shelters in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama.
