The Young Associates Board (YAB) of Almost Home Kids (AHK) is hosting its annual “No Place Like Home” fundraiser. This is the flagship event of the YAB and we are expecting to surpass our goal of 150+ attendees at this year’s event.

For some background - AHK is a unique facility providing transitional care for children who are medically complex upon discharge from a hospital, training for their families in caring for them, and respite care. Today, there are three such places, one in Naperville, one in downtown Chicago and a third facility in Peoria. Each Almost Home Kids is able to accommodate 12 children at time. Financed primarily by private funds from community supporters, business leaders and philanthropists, AHK saves the State, the City and the Taxpayer over $10 Million per site in Medicaid expense savings each year.
