Section 1: The purposes of the AES PTO are:
a: To promote and support the education of children and youth in the home, school, and community;
b: To raise the standards of home and school life for the children at Alpharetta Elementary School;
c: To develop and maintain a close relationship between the home, school, and community, such that parents and teachers may cooperate and work together in the education of children and youth at Alpharetta Elementary School and in the community; and
d: To develop between educators, parents, and the community such united efforts that will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education.
Section 2: The purposes of the PTO are promoted through advocacy and educational programs directed toward parents, teachers, and the community; developed through meetings, committees, projects, and programs; funded through general charitable giving drives; and are governed by the basic policies set forth in Article III (Basic Policies).
