The mission of Alum Rock Counseling Center (ARCC) is to heal families and inspire youth to reach their full potential. ARCC currently serves 11,000+ low-income, predominantly Latinx (85%) youth and families annually through 13 different mental/behavioral health programs, ranging from prevention and early intervention all the way to trauma recovery and support. ARCC’s overarching goals are to keep high-risk youth safe, in school, and drug and violence-free.
ARCC’s programs and services work to ensure that:
• Youth and families have resources for overcoming behavioral health concerns including substance use and mental health challenges.
• Kids are kindergarten ready.
• Youth graduate from middle school, high school and beyond.
• Youth and families are free from involvement with the justice and/or social services systems.
• Homes, schools and neighborhoods are safe – free of violence and dangerous behaviors.
