Our mission at the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region is to improve the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and to support their families and care partners through navigation, counselling, support groups and social recreational programming. We also offer education and training for health care professionals, local businesses, and the community to help reduce the stigma attached to this disease and make Durham Region more dementia-friendly so that all those impacted by dementia can feel supported in their homes and communities.
