They debate on names, purchase cribs and are showered with incredibly thoughtful gifts to help of set the financial burden of a baby. Approximately, 7 per 1000 live births in the state of Kentucky end in death. This does not account for stillbirths that often lead to funeral expenses. This is an expense that no expecting parent is emotionally or financially prepared for.
Amazing Angels, Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Bowling Green, KY. Amazing Angels, Inc. provides relief for those distressed with bereavement of infant loss in our service area. The average infant headstone cost is approximately $350 dollars not including cemetery fees ranging from $50-$200 in our area. A head stone is the last thing a parent impacted by infant loss can provide for baby. It is an important step in providing closure and to allow their lifelong healing journey to begin. The headstone gives a parent a place to remember and visit their deceased baby at its forever resting place. Just last year we purchased 5 infant headstones in a short period of two month.
