Dreams for Haiti started because a group of people saw a need in Haiti to help improve the lives of people there. We started with a small school to educate the children. Then we learned that children were not doing well because they were so hungry so we started a feeding program for them. We wanted to help the parents so we started an animal project where we gave them 2 chickens. If they gave us back the first 2 newborns then the chickens were theirs to sell eggs, sell the chicken or eat it. If they did well with this they were in line for a goat or pig which works the same way. We also now have a small community church for their spiritual needs. We have added sewing classes, music classes, English classes and jewelry making classes. We are trying to improve the lives of the people in the community. We have also brought in 36 containers of food and other necessary items to help the people.
