At Amelia Air, our mission is to prevent euthanasia by flying at-risk shelter pets off death row to no-kill rescues who find each pet the perfect family. Our vision is to better load-balance the shelter system in the US, which still euthanizes around 1 million adoptable animals each year because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. To do this, we leverage the compassion of the aviation community to create the missing link between rural areas overwhelmed with animals, and communities with the resources to take in pets and get them adopted. We believe everyone's next best friend is waiting to be discovered at a shelter or rescue!
