The mission of the American Heart Association is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. In our local Tarrant County office, we are working to impact our community so that all may have the opportunity for a happy and healthy life. From being a pillar to providing food security to Tarrant County children toequipping under resourced clinics with lifesaving tools and resources, the American Heart Association is committed to saving and improving the lives of our community. We know that one life lost is one too many, and together we can make a difference.

Throughout history, womenhave stepped up. Stepped out. Overcome opposition. We voted. Led the workforce. Blasted intospace. Our passion made history... but our actual hearts didn’t. Heart disease and stroke havenever been just men’s diseases, but through the years, women have been left out of studies, leftbehind in care and careers, and forgotten: Unaware. Underrepresented. Uncounted. UNTREATED.

Through Go Red for Women, we are fighting for better representation in medical research. Fighting for equitable access to care and treatments. Fighting to spread lifesaving information to oursisters. Fighting to overcome the statistic that cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women.
