The American Lung Association’s mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We do this through education, advocacy, and research. For more than 115 years, Americans have trusted us to protect their lungs, whether it’s researching treatments and cures for lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air we all breathe. The goals of American Lung Association are big—defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease. For more than 10 years, the American Lung Association in Indiana has used its Evening of Promise Gala as not only a fundraising event, but also an opportunity to honor an outstanding health partner in our community with the Legacy Award. The evening program will include live and silent auctions.
