Amplify works with individuals from communities that are oppressed or silenced, to help them use their voice to shift the perspectives surrounding their community to break down and labels and stereotype. We find in doing this, audiences find more compassion and understanding and see a more harmonious coexistence. To date, we have served survivors of trafficking and sexual assault and the formerly incarcerated (to highlight the importance of restorative justice.) In the fall, we will work with those who have journeyed through breast cancer. Amplify creates safe spaces, gives its participants simple tools to create a compelling talk focused on the triumph they have discovered in coming through their adverse experiences.
