Anderson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization is a group of teachers and parents with children or family who attend the school. These dedicated individuals volunteer their time, talents, and professional experience in various pursuits aimed at ensuring that the children who attend the school, and their amazing teachers, have access to whatever they need. Our singular goal is to assist with providing resources, tools, and funding for student enrichment activities, events, field trips, book fairs, and to provide the supplies needed for special academic projects or to address circumstance-based needs in the classrooms.
The majority of the student population served at Anderson Elementary classify as either minorities, socio-economically disadvantaged, or both. Despite this, according to greatschools.org, a review of test rates and student scores demonstrate that the students at Anderson Elementary School in Dixon are making far more academic progress from one grade to the next when compared to other schools in the state! By supporting the students and the staff, the Anderson Elementary PTO hopes to encourage this success by continuing to provide access to opportunities, experiences and resources, so that every student's educational experience at this school hopefully paves the way for academic achievement in the years to come.
