For more than 50 years, Anderson Humane has been dedicated to finding loving homes for pets. We offer adoption counseling, as well as resources and information adopters need to find the best animal to become part of their family. We practice open adoptions and work hard to socialize our animals to set them up for success when meeting their potential adopter(s). We also provide post-adoption training, low-cost veterinary care, and other resources to help the adopter establish a positive relationship with their new animal companion. In addition to the usual domestics, we also care for small mammals, birds, and wildlife.

We understand the bond and well-being that comes from a life rich in animal interaction and our numerous human services programs reflect this philosophy. Our Military Veterans Program (MVP) was created by a veteran to support veterans. Through it, we offer veterans training opportunities, discounts, and access to our human-animal bond social service programs. Our Short-Term Animal Refuge (STAR) program answers needs during crisis situations. Healing Paws certifies therapy teams and Constant Companions provides in-home care (litter box or cage maintenance, walking, feeding, etc.), pet food and/or supplies and transports pets to the groomer/vet for those in need.

Our mission highlights include:
