My name is Traci Perez; I am the President of a local non-denominational non-for-profit charity helping local families called Angels On The Moon. We are a 501(C) (3) approved charity registered with the state of Wisconsin.
Angels On The Moon is an all-volunteer organization focused on assisting families who are facing the unexpected death of their child. When families are suddenly tasked with the emotional, logistical, and financial burden of laying their child to rest, Angels On The Moon will assist the families in one or more of the following ways
v Help local families plan funeral arrangements by creating partnerships and communicating with local businesses such as funeral homes, cemeteries, monument makers, florist, and related business
v When needed use our partnerships to help provide reduced-cost services
v Pay for services related to laying their child to rest
After the tragic death of our son In July of 2017, we were unprepared for the cost of laying our child to rest. Like most parents, we were prepared to feed, clothe, and educate our child but we were not prepared for the unexpected cost of a funeral and burial. Most parents do not have sufficient life insurance to cover a child’s funeral. My husband and I were fortunate enough that we were able to work our way through the stack of bills from our son’s funeral. We also are humble enough to realize that there are many families and parents who would not be able to afford funeral services. This is why we created Angels On The Moon. Since late 2018 we have paid for over $50,000 in funeral costs to help local families lay their children to rest because of generous donors such as you. I would like to stress, that we are a local charity so our supporters and the families who receive donations from Angels On The Moon are members of your community. The current by-laws require that the family live within a 75 miles radius of Salem Lakes Village Hall (9814 Antioch Rd Salem, WI 53168).
